This book is a "classic" since it was the first to really picture the technique of Gypsies, Cruickshank has mileage in Gipsy Jazz. He was one of the first to really dig into the Django Legacy. He was the Django "brain" behind the now famous movie "Django Legacy".

In the 70's and 80's Cruickshank was also interested in Gypsies. He took many pictures of them, musicians or not. He was an important witness of the pre-revival gipsy jazz period. There are wonderful pictures in thatlittle book - well worth the price. And you'll learn a few key things on the Django style.
