Django Reinhardt

Editions Nocturnes, France

Scenario by Christian Bonnet, drawings by Aurel. (C) 2003, with 2 CDs

This is part of a small collection of cartoon books released in 2003 on major jazz artists: (Reinhardt, Bechet, Armstrong, Ellington, Parke, Gillespie, Young, Getz, Peterson, Powell, Monk, Christian, Krupa, Holliday, Miller)

Jean `Django` Reinhart - a contextual bi-discography 1910-1953

(c) 2003 by Paul Vernon

A must for serious Django passionates - a reference book with tons of hard to find articles.

Django Reinhardt

by Alexander Schmitz and Peter Maier.

In German, En Allemand mais semble très intéressant.

I haven't read it...can't...

Django Reinhardt, Le Génie Vagabond

by Noel Balen

This is very very interesting if you are a Djangologist. Such a work of collecting articles covering Django deserves a thumb up. I'm still not done reading it, so much stuff. Unique comments here and there, lot's of the same stuff though but that is normal considering the scope of magazines.

Foreword

This unique and fascinating collection is a result of one mans dedication and foresight in recognizing Django’s eternal genius from the moment he heard the first recordings made by the Quintet in the mid-30’s. For Reinhardt fans old and new, always hungry for any snippets of information that might help gain insight into the life of the greatest guitarist who ever lived, it represents a gold mine.
